Picture Overload and update on the girls

I really wanted updated pictures of the girls to print for their room before the baby comes. Our good friend Caitlin with Caitlin Nicole Photography captured some beautiful pictures that really capture their personalities. With getting ready for Baby C and blogging for Motherhood in the Major Leagues,  I have neglected our family blog a little. I am really good at instagraming though. It is so easy since I always have my phone on me and there is a company that I can print my entire instagram history into a book along with all my captions, so that makes me feel better. I love it because I get a record of the "every day" things that may seem insignificant, but that are fun to look back on. However, with new pictures of the girls I do want to take a minute and record a few things about each of them that we don't want to forget.

Our Harper
sweet
cuddly
scrunches up her eyebrows (love that expression of hers)
obsessed with her blankie; it comes everywhere with us
likes to play baby dolls
says "thank you" all day long
very helpful
happy, but hard to capture her smiles
tends to be more serious
brave/fearless
loves dogs
likes to play on the phone and ipad to see pictures and watch videos
copies everything her sister does
likes to dance
hides behind the curtains when it's time for bed
great sleeper
loves babies- we have a feeling she is going to smother Baby C with too much love

Sage Bug
sweet and oh so sassy
phrase we hear most often from her, "You're not going to be my best friend!"
when she doesn't get what she wants, "That's rude!"
loves being a big sister
loves going to school
loves dance class
loves going to story time and zumba at the library
her teachers say she is very "mothering" and a "leader"
She is always worried and concerned about others
likes to dance and sing
loves her baby dolls and playing "mom and dad" with her friends
loves her friends
very affectionate- needs lots of hugs and gets really sad if her friends won't give her one
independent
misses her dad every day when he is at work- she always asks what time he'll be home

We love our girls.

Sage Bug

Sage is as sassy as they come. She is a handful and needs lots of attention. She is stubborn and has the biggest attitude for such a little girl, but has a heart as big as her attitude. She is as sweet as they come and is really sensitive to others' feelings. She worries about others. She loves being a big sister and loves friends and her cousins. She also loves her grandmas and papas. She talks about them all daily. She always reminds us to say prayers and to read scriptures each night. She loves learning about the gospel. She loves hymns and is always wanting me to teach her a new one. Her favorite movie is Frozen. She loves going to the library for story time and dancing. She loves her gymnastics class. She loves "writing". She can write several letters, but usually just writes jibberish. She is excited for preschool in the Fall. She thrives on structure and routine. She is a little more apprehensive and hesitant to try new things. She loves being read to and having her back rubbed. She notices the little things and beauty around her. She still loves her baby dolls and is always singing to them and rocking them to sleep. She is also still an early bird and wakes up between 5:30-6 am everyday. We love everything about her and wouldn't change a thing about her!

Hello, We had a Party!

Sage changed her mind on what kind of party she wanted just about every day. Once the invites were made I told her we had to stick with Hello Kitty and swimming and boy is she glad we did! She had a blast. It was a very hectic morning with helping a friend from Spain get situated, but it all worked out and everyone had a lot of fun.

Her actual birthday!

Sage had a special birthday. Saturday night we set up her big girl bed and surprised her with it before bed. She sure was happy. Taylor and his dad have been working on a headboard for it for the last month. It just needs to be stained and then we will add it to the bed. The morning of her birthday she woke up calling out for me and when I went in and told her it was her birthday she yelled, "I'm three! I'm three! I'm three!" over and over again. She was greeted with balloons and as tradition we sang to her with a candle in a donut for breakfast. She opened up a few presents, one which included new paints, chalk and dry erase markers for an easel. She spent the morning painting and drawing. At church her nursery leaders brought cookies and sang to her. She sure felt special. After naps, both sets of grandparents came for her birthday dinner. (We wish Grandpa Davey lived closer) We had one of her favorites. Pancakes, berries and whipped cream. We put on music and she performed for us. We also watched a video that Taylor and I had put together of her first 3 years and then opened presents. It was such a nice evening celebrating her!
