Baking on a cold Spring day

Easter

We all (Taylor's siblings and their families) went up to Paradise the day before Easter and spent the day playing and eating good food. We colored eggs, played Easter Bingo, went on an egg hunt and received fun baskets filled with all kinds of "prizes"(surprises- as Sage girl calls them). As always it was tons of fun. We stayed the night at Grandma & Papa's and spent Easter day with them. Even with a hurt arm grandma managed to fix a wonderful Easter dinner. We put the girls baskets outside and had Sage go out and find them. Her happy and excited mood quickly changed as soon as she saw the camera. Her and the camera were not friends that day as you will notice. I am constantly reminded that things do not often go according to plan or how I envision them to play out in my mind. Sometimes I forget to laugh and enjoy the journey. Taylor is always by my side to remind me and to assure me that the day is not ruined over a few tears and snot and that life in fact will go on... I am grateful for this life I live and for my Savior who has made this life possible and makes it oh so sweet. 

Easter Party

I threw a last minute little Easter party for Sage and a few of her little friends. It was really simple and all the moms helped pull it off and the kids had. I didn't get many pictures, but we played Easter Bingo which they enjoyed eating the jelly beans more than the game, decorated bags with sparkly spring flower stickers, went on a little hunt to find eggs which had lunch in them, ate and decorated cupcakes with jelly beans. They had a good time running around together and playing. Love these girls. 

Santa came early

Sunday evening Taylor's parents came over and had dinner with us. Jeanne made some yummy food and Sage got to see/open her Christmas present from them. She absolutely loves her kitchen. It is just her size and everything about it is so cute. She has already spent hours playing with it. 

A Snowman Party

Sage had a snowman party with just a few of her friends- Kaylee, Cole & Grace. She was so excited. She kept looking at their pictures from all their Christmas cards and running to the front door and knocking saying, "mon" (come on). We cut out snowflake cookies, played with peppermint sparkle play dough, colored snowmen pictures, and did snowman/snowflake stickers, played, had lunch and decorated our sugar cookies. It was lots of fun. Sage loves her friends.
