He told us so!
Papa has told me over and over again not to leave the GPS visible. Did we listen? This morning as I was leaving for work I open my car door that is covered in snow and am about to sit down and see broken glass and snow all over the front. Somebody smashed in our car window and stole our GPS! He told us so! It cost only $58 to get it replaced! What a deal, huh? It actually cost $138, but someone left $80 under our door mat... What a blessing! We have our suspicions and are very grateful. (For the $80 that is, not so much for the broken window and stolen GPS)

California!
We had such a good time in California. I have been in Spain, Arizona and now in Utah for so long that I haven't realized just how much I miss and love California. California will always have a special place in my heart, but my heart is wherever Taylor is. It was so fun to see and spend some time with family and friends. I am so grateful for all their love and support. We left Thursday afternoon. The drive was not too bad. It took 9 hours but didn't feel that long. At least not for me. I was just so excited. We took Melissa out for Yogurtland which is one of my favorite places there. We helped out Donna and Donny set up the Stake Center for the reception. We went to lunch at Chili's and went to the beach. It was warm, but not quite warm enough yet. It was fun just sitting on the beach, walking and playing frisbee together. We also went by The Learning Experience and visited with my friends there. Also, a little girl who was in my preschool class happened to stop by while I was there to register for summer. I can't believe how grown up she is. Saturday was the wedding. The San Diego Temple is just breath taking. That is where I received my endowment. Anyways, when you drive around a corner off the 5 freeway it just appears. However, Saturday as we turned the corner there was the temple all under construction! Donna didn't have any idea. Thank goodness for photoshop and it is just one side, so they took most of there pictures on the other side. In between their sealing and the reception we visited with more of my friends. Delora had a few people over to see me and made a yummy lunch. Her kids are all grown up also. Adam is going into high school! Michael and Melissa are going into high school! Sabina and Aian are graduating high school this year! I am beginning to feel old. The reception turned out really nice, but it was an adventure! We are both so happy for Donny and Donna. We really wish we lived near them. Maybe we can talk them into moving to Utah? Or maybe we will end up in California? Who knows! Taylor has looked at grad schools and housing there. We will not be going anywhere at least for another year and then we will see where the Lord will take us! Sunday we had breakfast with my Daddy and then went to Sacrament. Oh I love the people there! The drive back seemed longer than the ride there, but I am happy to be home sweet home. These next few weeks are going to be challenging. We both will be finishing the semester. Thank goodness! The weekend was so much fun. I think it has given me the break I needed to get through until finals. Such good memories made and so much laughing! We are going to try and plan a whole week in August!
Dad will never smile unless I tickle him and then my eyes are open so wide and I am talking through my smile telling him not to laugh!

Highlights
I have a lot I need to catch up on, but don't have much time. I figure it is better to write some quick highlights so I don't forget because by the time I have time I will have more to write about.
Taylor's Audi was having more trouble, so we decided to get rid of it. It just was not worth investing more money into it. We got $1500 for it, which we are so happy about and put that towards his new car. We are a Corolla family! He got a 2006 Corolla S. It is just like my 2005 Corolla S, but a taupe color. It's so cute. We are both very happy. We will be driving it to California tomorrow!!
Once again I have the best husband! I wasn't sure if i should be happy or depressed, but Taylor made the best chocolate chip cookies! If you read my last post my cookies were a disaster! He is so sweet and so thoughtful.
Taylor is almost done with the semester. He has finals coming up next week. He has worked so hard. He is taking Spring/Summer off of school and will be doing an internship at New Haven where is already working. He is so excited and I am so happy for him. He will get to shadow some therapists, which will be such a good experience for him.
For me, the semester cannot end fast enough. I have not lost my "mid-semester blues" or maybe they have just turned into the "end-of-semester, can't take another day- syndrome". I met with my councilor this week and my math class from NAU was not accepted. It is not realistic for me to take 2 math classes this summer, so will be left with 3 credits left in the Fall. So, I had to change my graduation date.
Also, as I mentioned we are going to California for our friends Donna and Donny's wedding. However, this morning I realized I have not found my temple recommend which I misplaced and had been looking for last week. I can't say enough what a great husband I have. After searching everywhere while I was work and not finding it, Taylor called and set up an interview with a member of our bishopric and also the Stake Presidency. How could I lose one of my greatest possessions? How sad! After class tonight (which is where I am right now) and taking a test for another class I have my interview with a member of the Stake Presidency and then am going home to clean up and pack because we are leaving when Taylor gets out of class and I get off of work tomorrow.
Can't wait!

Basketball
We will post pictures later, but Taylor's team made it to the first round of finals and won that came on Tuesday, played again tonight and lost... If you ask me, they should have won! It was so fun to watch him play. He is a great basketball player. He made some sweet shots and would come out of nowhere and steal the ball. He runs pretty fast too! Not only is he a good player, but he is a great sport and a peacemaker... love that man!

A Wonderful Weekend!
Yesterday was a busy day. We woke up early to clean our home together before going to volunteer at the "Boys and Girls Club" for the Disney's "Give a Day, Get a Day" program. We formed groups of 6, so we were with 2 other young couples and we were responsible for cleaning out the storage room with all the sports equipment in the gym. We have never seen so many basketballs in our lives. They have almost anything you could think of- tennis, scoops, scooters, baseball, basketball, footballs, jump ropes, bowling, golf, volleyballs, handballs... It did not look too bad, but by the time we were through with it, it did look better. We pulled everything out of the closet and swept and vacuumed the closet out and then organized everything and put it back in more organized as we labeled boxes. It really was fun.
Taylor thought we would not be able to make it to the Festival of Colors or Holi, as it is also referred to, but our volunteer thing ended at 10:30 instead of noon, so he went and took is test and got an 84%!!! (Way to go Taylor!) And then we headed to Spanish Fork for the Festival of Colors! It was so much fun. Here is a little history of it... I find it fascinating. I love learning about other cultures.
Celebrated all over India since ancient times, Holi's precise form and purpose display great variety. Originally, Holi was an agricultural festival celebrating the arrival of spring. This aspect still plays a significant part in the festival in the form of the colored powders: Holi is a time when man and nature alike throw off the gloom of winter and rejoice in the colors and liveliness of spring. Holi also commemorates various events in Hindu mythology, but for most Hindus it provides a temporary opportunity for Hindus to disregard social norms, indulge in merrymaking and generally "let loose."The legend commemorated by the festival of Holi involves an evil king named Hiranyakashipu. He forbade his son Prahlad from worshipping Vishnu, but Radhu continued to do offer prayers to the god. Getting angry with his son, Hiranyakashipu challenged Prahlad to sit on a pyre with his wicked aunt Holika who was believed to be immune to fire. (In an alternate version, Holika put herself and Prahlad on the fire on orders from her brother.) Prahlad accepted the challenge and prayed to Vishnu to keep him safe. When the fire started, everyone watched in amazement as Holika was burnt to death, while Prahlad survived without a scar to show for it. The burning of Holika is celebrated as Holi. According to some accounts, Holika begged Prahlad for forgiveness before her demise, and he decreed that she would be remembered every year at Holi.
We parked at the first parking we saw because it was free. They had a shuttle bus, but we did not think it was far so we decided to walk. It ended up being a 35 minute walk, but it was enjoyable. It was fun watching all the excitement of everyone going, and the look of the people leaving and walking back to their cars. I'll let the pictures do the rest of the talking!

When we got back we obviously had to shower and then watched a little 24, before going to the Easter Party at Taylor's parents. That was also so much fun. They always organize and plan it so perfect. It was fun watching the kids decorate their sticker, Easter scenes and play bingo and color eggs. Taylor and I colored some too. Dan, Taylor, and I hid the eggs outside. Dan is quite the egg hider! Taylor and I just placed them in plain sight. Oh those kids are so cute! The adults also had an egg hunt. We each had a specific color to hunt for and each had 3. Each egg had money in it. Tony and Jeanne are always so generous. And each couple also had their own basket full of treats.
We both went to bed early. I had a headache and fell asleep as Taylor worked on his lesson for today. He's going over it again right now and our Home Teachers will be coming soon, then we have to go over the Primary lesson we will teaching today. It has been a great weekend!
