My in-laws always goes above and beyond. We had our family party last night and we all had a good time. The kids acted out the nativity. Sage says, "Grandma! I want to be baby Jesus!" She settled for the donkey. We told her the donkey had an important job, which is definitely true. She also tried on Mary's costume. The kids played bingo, colored, put together a reindeer puzzle, Papa told them a story about his great-great-grandma making Boden Candy and brought some for us to try, we sand carols, ate delicious food, did the cousin book exchange (Sage got pinkalicious which we have already read a million times today and Harper got the cutest Pink Library) and the kids got their jammies from Grandma and Papa. Sage loves her nightgown with a matching nightgown for her baby doll and Harper's jammies could not be any softer except for maybe the blankets they also received. Each family also got a fun Disney Holiday Matching Game and a gingerbread house to decorate. We sure are spoiled. We know it takes a lot of work and planning to put on such a fun party and we sure are grateful! We were all so happy to surprise them with their Christmas gifts. We gave them tickets to see Brian Reagan and got Jeanne a Silhouette Cameo! It is so much fun to give. We love this time year and wish we had more to give to those around us. We are truly blessed.

Visit from Grandpa & Paradise
Grandpa Davey came into town for Harper's blessing. We enjoyed having him and his girlfriend Mari stay with us for a couple days. We went to the park, Wheeler Farm, on walks, Temple Square and to City Creek. He hadn't seen Sage for almost a year, but Sage warmed right up to him and smothered him with lots of hugs and kisses. We met them up in Paradise on Sunday morning and spent a couple days up there with them and Grandma & Papa Cresine. Our girls are so blessed to have such wonderful grandparents on both sides. We had a fun time up in Paradise. This time next year Harper will be able to join in on all the fun. Although I did not get any pictures of it, she definitely got her fair share of attention and cuddles from everyone.

Santa came early
Sunday evening Taylor's parents came over and had dinner with us. Jeanne made some yummy food and Sage got to see/open her Christmas present from them. She absolutely loves her kitchen. It is just her size and everything about it is so cute. She has already spent hours playing with it.

Christmas at Grandma & Papa's
This past weekend we went to Paradise to celebrate Christmas with Grandma and Papa since they will be in California for Christmas and we will be with Taylor's family. They made it special for Sage. When we arrived they had a Santa hat on and reindeer antlers and even though they are going to be gone a couple weeks Papa threw up a few lights outside just for our girl. We had a nice day and all got to open our Christmas presents. The highlight was watching Sage open her gifts and watching her get to excited. Grandma and Papa got her the Shirley Temple collection DVDs and also went to great lengths to get her some tap shoes, which they do not make in her size... They got little leather shoes and had taps put on them. Of course she only likes the parts of the movie where Shirley is dancing and singing.... thank goodness for scene selection. She says, "more, more" every time an stomps her little feet and tries to copy Shirley dance. It is the cutest thing. Grandma made a yummy dinner as she always does. We are happy we were able to spend some time with them before they left town and the new year.

Grand American & Temple Square
Temple Square Lights- Sunday we went with Taylor's parents downtown to Temple Square to enjoy the lights. We bundled up and braved the 25 degree temperature. I wish I got some better pictures, but it was too cold. Sage loved the "baby" more than the lights I think. She kept wanting "more baby." There were several nativity scenes from around the world. She also kept calling "Papa" and making sure he and Jeanne were still with us. Afterwards we warmed up with some hot chocolate.
