Happy Anniversary!

It has been one year since we were married! We slept in, Taylor made a yummy breakfast- english muffins with cheese and ham (his specialty), watched the movie "Play the Game", went to the Mount Timpanogas Temple and did sealings, went to dinner at the Texas Roadhouse, and watched a little bit of the Office. It has been a great day and as we reflect on our first year together we both feel very blessed. We are especially grateful for the knowledge and testimonies which we have of the gospel. We are so grateful that our marriage can be eternal as we live faithful and keep our covenants. Life is good!

Christmas 2010

Can Christmas really be over? We have had a good time this month as celebrated the birth of our Savior and enjoyed time with family and friends. This year we spent Christmas in Flagstaff, Arizona. We left Wednesday the 22 and came home on Sunday the 26th. It was a fun few days with lots of resting, visiting, eating and game playing. Grandma cut both of our hairs, Taylor ate Jack in the Box for the first time, we brought our Wii and played the game "Just Dance." We got Grandma and Papa to dance. Grandma was great at Tina Turner's Rollin on the River and Papa was awesome at the Monster Mash. Michael and Melissa enjoyed playing as well. The boys played pool. Papa and Taylor kept betting. Taylor lost about $2000. We also got a new Wii game- Madden 11 which is a football game that Taylor loves and enjoyed playing with Michael and Papa. Christmas Eve we made homemade pizza which is a tradition of my Uncle Timmy's that we carried on even though he and Aunt Mum were not able to join us this year. Right before going to bed on Christmas Eve Grandma decided we should take a vote and open all our presents. Taylor now understands why I am horrible at surprises! Of course everyone voted to open them. Christmas morning we all slept in a little bit and then had a yummy breakfast which included the Fenton tradition of scones. We then went to mass at Grandma and Papa's church and spent the rest of the afternoon resting and playing games. We had a nice Christmas dinner together. It was sad to leave Sunday morning. We wish Grandma and Papa and everyone lived closer, but we loved and enjoyed the time we were able to spend with them. We are also grateful to have Taylor's family close and look forward to seeing and spending time with them on New Years.

Visit from Grandma and Papa

The week before Christmas Grandma and Papa drove out here to go to the Christmas Concert of the Mormon Tabernacle Choir with David Archuleta with us. They came into town on Friday evening and we all went to dinner with Tony and Jeanne and both Grandma Fenton and Grandma Sargent. I wish we would have got a picture of all of us. Next time. Grandma and Papa and Taylor and I stayed at the Studio 6. Saturday we went to breakfast and then went to Park City. It was snowing but we enjoyed seeing the Olympic Museum and also went to the Carter's Outlet where Grandma and Papa got Sage so many cute things. She is so spoiled already. We then went back and took a nap and got ready. We took trax downtown and ate dinner at Crown Burger and then went straight to the Conference Center. We were one of the first in line. We weren't taking any chances of not getting in. Not only did we get in, but we got great seats. We were about 20 rows from the front. The concert was wonderful and I think Grandma and Papa would agree was worth the drive from Flagstaff. Afterwards we looked at the lights on Temple Square before heading back on trax. Grandma and Papa left early Sunday morning. It was fun to have them visit and enjoy the weekend with them.

Yogurtland

Taylor surprised me and took me to Yogurtland which is a favorite of mine from California. The Red Velvet Cupcake batter was sooo good. It was quite the drive just for some yogurt, so we decided to be spontaneous and see a movie also. We saw the movie -"The Next Three Days." It was pretty good and so much fun to be together and just go out and take a break from our usual routine.

Cresine Tradition

So, you know how you're not supposed to play with your food? Well, in the Cresine home it not only is okay, but it is a tradition on Thanksgiving to create some sort of picture with the food left on your plate. Sometimes an extra olive is necessary or a small spoon of mashed potatoes is needed to complete a creation and on Thanksgiving it's okay to waste a little food. Most of the time Scruffy gets to eat our creations. This year we enjoyed Thanksgiving with Taylor's family, but Papa e-mailed us pictures of their creations. This year Papa was the winner! Taylor and I voted. Here is his creation...

A weekend of Thanksgiving and Christmas!

Our weekend started on Thanksgiving Eve. We took down our pilgrims and indians and put up the few Christmas decorations we have. Thursday morning we went over to Taylor's parents and had a yummy breakfast and visited. We then all went over to Lori and Jeff's for a Thanksgiving feast. It was so nice of them to have us all over. Friday evening we took trax downtown to Temple Square to see the lights be turned on. As soon as we got to the spot we wanted to be in and took a look around- the lights flashed on! It was so neat. The Church does such an incredible job. We walked around Temple Square a little and also went to the new Deseret Book. We went to Grandma Sargent's and had dinner and played Zilch and Yahtzee with her. It was so much fun. She is so fun to play with. We stayed over and Taylor's parent's Friday evening and Saturday was the Fenton and Sargent Christmas Carnivals. Jeanne worked so hard planning and preparing. There was crafts, face painting, Christmas Bingo, pin the nose on the snowman, musical chairs, fresh popped popcorn and cotton candy. Everyone had so much fun!
And then this morning, Sunday, we woke up to the first significant snow that we have had down here in Orem. It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
