California Part 1 (of 3)

California will always have a place of my heart. We spent 9 whole days of fun in the sun.  We had such a good time. We drove through the night, which was rough but worth it. Harper slept the entire 10 hours each way without making a peep. Sage did really well considering sleeping in the car is never the most comfortable. We are so grateful for the time we were able to spend together and the memories we made.

Saturday- We celebrated my dads 48th birthday. We barbecued and hung out at the Laguna Niguel Regional Park. Everything about the day was perfect- the food, the company, the weather. In the evening we hung out with our friends Donna & Donny and their two sweet girls (the Sands). We went to an "Alladay" party and then went to In N Out.

Sunday- We went to church with the Sands and then met Miriam and the twins at Thousand Steps Beach in Laguna. To say Sage loved the beach is an understatement. As soon as she saw it she gave a big gasp and whispered, "wow!" We barbecued and made delicious Reese's smore's.

Monday- We went to the park and for a walk in the morning. Harper went on the swing for the first time and giggled and giggled. Miriam took us to get Yogurtland and to Jump n Jammin. Sage really enjoyed it. She was totally in her element. Harper enjoyed watching all the action. Afterwards, just the 4 of us went to Dana Point Harbor and ate some fish and chips and fish tacos from a place I grew up eating at. Taylor and I are already craving them! It was fun walking around looking at the boats and looking for crabs. We left Harper with Miriam and took Sage to the Angels game with our friends Alicia and Josie. Sage was spoiled with an ice-cream sundae, popcorn, lemonade and a churro.
