Sage loves her Uncle and Auntie. The last day they spent with us was the parade Sage got to be in for winning the baby contest and afterwards we took them up to Paradise. We had a nice time relaxing, visiting with Taylor's parents, eating yummy food, and going to Porcupine Dam. We wish we could spend more time in Paradise. We were sad to see Michael and Melissa leave on Sunday, but enjoyed the time we had with them. We are also very glad to get back to a routine. With all the fun we were having Sage did not get many naps, which probably contributed to her falling asleep in the parade on Saturday. By Sunday she was exhausted and took a 4 hour nap.

Fun with Michael and Melissa
The twins came to visit for the week and we have been having lots of fun visiting with them. Sage loves the extra attention and I love the extra company during the day. We have watched lots of movies, played lots of games, made strawberry frozen yogurt, got snow cones, made delicious dessert crepes, entered Sage into her Baby Contest and went to the Hogle Zoo. We have also had lots of fun with Taylor in the evenings. We have gone on a hike, made Melissa break her 5 month vegetarian nonsense with yummy In-N-Out (she admitted that she "hearts meat"), gone ice-skating, and dressed up as cows for "Cow Appreciation Day" and all got free meals at Chik-fil-A, got frozen hot chocolate from Smart Cookie and have been enjoying playing games. We only have them for a couple more days and will be sad to see them go.

And the winner is...
Say hello to the winner of the American Fork Steel Days 2011 Baby Contest! I know we are a little biased, but the judges agreed that Sage is indeed the cutest baby! The categories she was judged on were appearance, personality and demeanor. They called her name and I took her up to the judges and Sage was her usual charming self! We went home and came back a couple hours later just in time for them to announce, "The winner for the 0-4 month female is... Sage Nicole Fenton!" She got to take her picture with "Miss American Fork" and won a couple shirts, a stuffed rattle, a tile with a cute little quote and a gift certificate for a baby boutique called "Little Things Mean A Lot." She also gets to be in the parade this Saturday! Way to go our little love bug! We think you are the cutest in the world!

Celebrating the 4th of July
We are grateful for the day to celebrate and reflect on the freedoms we enjoy and the many brave men and women who have made and continue to make that possible. God bless the USA, land that we love! We had a great 4th of July. Taylor worked in the morning and then we went with our friends Jeff and Ashley to Electric Park at Thanksgiving Point. We got there early so we were able to get a good spot. We packed a picnic of sandwiches, chips, watermelon, smores and old fashioned cream soda, root beer and orange creams soda. We relaxed, played cards, and visited. Unfortunately, it started to rain. We hung out for a little while, but it started to get windy and the sky threatened more rain. We decided not to sit around for another couple hours with the baby. We went home and watched a movie. I guess we will have to wait for the 24th of July to see any fireworks!

Having Fun
Thursday Jill and Lacie came to visit with Sage and me. We made some sweet 4th of July strawberries and also made a fun 4th of July craft. We love visiting with them and can't wait for our next visit. Friday we went to the Rooftop Concert with Jake and Allie. It was fun talking and getting to know them better. Today we went and saw Andrew, Caitlin and Cole. Cole is six weeks younger than Sage and is only half an inch and 6 ounces smaller. He is so cute. He and Sage are going to be good friends. Taylor worked on Andrew and Caitlin's auto, renters and life policies. He was able to save them some money. He currently has 23 policies done and 1 life policy. He is on his way! After our visit with them we went to Freedom Days. It was fun walking around and checking out all the booths. We had a caricature done of Sage and the guy did an awesome job. We also got her the cutest lace ruffled romper for pictures. We also got talked into signing up for the Deseret News. We recently signed up for the Daily Herald for the coupons, but now will get double the coupons. We got a really good deal. He was going to give us a $5 gift card and when we said we would think about and come back he said that he knew he would never see us again and offered us a $10 gift card instead. We took it! We will pay for the subscription with the coupons we use in one shopping trip. It was worth it! Our friend Jeff came over and helped Taylor change the oil in both our cars and change the air filters. He went with him to get both our cars washed too. He and Amanda are such good people. We are lucky to have them as friends. We also fed Sage rice cereal for the first time. She didn't know what to think about it. She makes us laugh.

4 months!!!
Little Bug,

Today you are 4 months! We love you so much. You are such a joy in our lives. You make us so happy. We are so blessed to have you in our family. You are growing up too fast! At the doctor yesterday you weighed 12 lbs 13.5 ounces (33%) and were 24.5 inches (61%). You are a healthy and happy baby. This month you rolled over for the first time from your tummy to your back. You did it three times for mommy in the morning and she got the third time on video. That night you did it once for your daddy, but then wouldn't do it again. A couple weeks had passed and Grandma Jeanne came to visit. I was telling her how you won't roll over again and I put you on your tummy and your proved me wrong! You are always full of surprises! You are so strong. You hold your head high during tummy time and are always looking all around. When we have you laying down you always try and sit up. You have some strong stomach muscles. You find comfort and love your binkie more and more every day. You love to pull it out and hold it, but cannot put it back in your mouth yet. You also enjoy your bumbo. You sit and like to help mom make dinner and keep her company. You are her bestest bud during the day when daddy is working. Together we are your daddy's greatest cheerleaders and fans. You like to wait outside in the grass for daddy to get home. You are still sleeping through the night. You are starting to go down to bed earlier... sometimes between 7:30- 8:00 and then wake up around 5 am to eat and you go back to sleep until 7:00-8:00 am. Because of the early bed time and it being so hot outside we have been skipping your night walk, but you still have a good bed time routine with your bath and reading. You finished reading Book of Mormon Stories and have started reading it again. You are a good little sleeper in your crib. You wake up so smiley. Your day time naps are still unorganized, but we're working on them! You are doing better. We have also discovered your tickle spots and you laugh and laugh out loud. It is one the sweetest sounds we have ever heard. You are also such jibber jabberer. You don't snort too much anymore, but you love to talk. I think you will talk young. That's what we do all day. We chat together. We both have lots to say to each other. You still wear 0-3 months clothing. They are starting to fit smaller. You also are starting to wear 3-6 months even though some are a little too big. You are also still in size 1 diapers. We are going to try size 2 soon. You are eating 4-6 ounces every 3 hours. You are a spitter upper. We are trying a new formula that Dr. Simmons recommended yesterday, which has rice in it so it is thicker and hopefully you will be able to keep it down better. We love you baby girl and can't imagine our lives without you!
Love always, mommy & daddy

Sage update
I know it is so cliche, but time really is flying. In so many ways I feel like Sage just joined our family yesterday and in other ways I feel like she has been with us forever. She is so sweet and so fun as you can see in the pictures. She will be 4 months tomorrow! She went to her 4 month well check/shots today and is doing great. She weighs 12 lbs 13.5ounces (33%) and is 24.5 inches long (61%). She is the best baby. We are so happy to have her in our family.
