goooooodniiiiiiiight!

Putting Sage to bed has become something wonderful and not because I am ready for some quiet. We have a good routine that she is no longer fighting. We take a bath, I take Harper out first at which time Sage can have bubbles added to the bath, I get Harper lotioned up and jammies on, feed her a bottle, get Sage girl out of the tub and get her in jammies (she always picks them and is really good at matching them), we read a couple books together, say prayers, I put Harper to bed but not before singing her a song before laying her down. I read Sage another book and then the timer is on for 5 minutes and I rub her back as she keeps sitting up to drink water and when the timer goes off she smiles at me and says, "goooooooodniiiiiiight!" The other night she said, "goodnight friend!" And I tell her how much I love her and tell her I will keep her door open if she stays in bed. She usually chats a bit, but then falls right to sleep.

Sagey Bug

She is so much fun. I am loving 2 1/2 years old. She is independent, loving, creative, imaginative, funny, daring, smart and energetic. We love our big girl who just started Joy School. She was so excited to start school she was jumping up and down and doing summersaults with her backpack on!

Phelps Berry Farm

We took Sage and her cousin Kaylee to go berry picking the other day. It was such a fun experience. The girls really enjoyed it. They were both really good at picking only the ripe ones. Sage ate more than she picked though. At one point she was taking handfuls out of her bucket! I can't really blame her. They are delicious. We picked raspberries and blackberries. This will definitely be a new family tradition.

Harper Lee

I will wait for her 7 month update which is just in a few days, but I am feeling too blessed not to write a  few words on this angel. Her little personality is growing and she is so much fun. She is so easy going and happy, but has also become so curious and a little bit stubborn. She is giggly and lights up when we talk to her. She brightens our days with her fun expressions and smiles. I couldn't love her any more. She is absolutely perfect for us!

Silly Goose

Today as I was in a hurry to quickly fix breakfast and pack a lunch for Taylor while he showered and got ready for work Sage was driving me a little crazy. I told her to go play and I would tell her when breakfast was ready. Her response? Not only did she tell me "no", but she called me a silly goose! "No Silly Goose!" I was cutting strawberries at the time and so she then went on to say, "Careful mama, sharp. dangerous." She sure drives me crazy sometimes, but she also has a heart of gold!
