A Much Needed Weekend Away

We had the most relaxing and fun weekend in St.George. We left Thursday evening when I got off of work and got there late Thursday night. Mary, Michael and Grandma were already up there. Kristy's condo is absolutely beautiful. It is so much fun. We are grateful for her letting us stay there and wish she could have been there too. Next time! But we had the best time! We played the most fun game on the Wii which is all dancing and a real workout, not to mention quite the show to watch! Michael, Mary, Taylor and I all played it together. There are several songs to choose from and a person dancing on the screen which you are supposed to mimic the moves in order to get points. It was not easy. We were all sweating and out of breath. I had to sit out a few and it was so funny to watch the boys shaking their hips. I know Grandma enjoyed the show too. We watched movies- Michael Jackson's This Is It, My Sisters Keeper, Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants II, and several episodes of The Office. We also laid out on the rafts in the pool a couple times, which was so nice and so relaxing. Friday we stayed out there for several hours. We also went to dinner at the Pizza Factory and ordered the best BBQ Chicken pizza. Saturday Katie, Steve and Caleb came up. It was fun to hang out with them too. Caleb is just so stinkin cute. We played a few games with them which was a lot of fun. We played Things In A Box and True Colors with Mary and Grandma also. Saturday night Grandma got Michael, Taylor and me tickets to go see Cats at the Tuacahn. She tried to get us tickets for Tarzan, but it was already sold out. Cats was fun though. It is just so fun to watch their high energy and dancing. Their costumes were really cool too. We loved it. We also got a lightening show, which canceled the end of the show. We missed the last 20 minutes or so. They are letting people reserve tickets for another night so hopefully Katie and Steve can go and enjoy it as much as we did. And between Michael and Mary both loving to cook we ate like Kings and Queens. They made a big breakfast every morning. We had scones one morning, blueberry pancakes another, crepes another, and waffles another. We also ate yummy steak, baked potatoes, corn on the cob one night, empinadas for lunch one day, chicken enchiladas another night. It was all so good. We loved spending time with all of them and didn't want to leave, but Taylor had to be back to work this afternoon and I have work early in the morning. We thought about calling in sick for the week, but decided we would like to be able to pay our bills! So, Taylor is at work and I am sitting at home trying to motivate myself to do some things around here. We are back to real life. Life is good though. It is hard work and everyday stresses that help us to really enjoy and appreciate the relaxing and fun times like our weekend.
