The other day we has a little reindeer party for Sage and a few of her friends that have been in her joy school group + her buddy Cole and his brother, Harper's boyfriend Quinn. We painted feet and made reindeer on canvases, played pin the nose on the reindeer, made reindeer food, played "pass the present" (kind of like hot potato, but with a present and if the music stopped while you were holding the gift it was yours to keep! Everyone got reindeer coloring books), sang Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, read The Night Before Christmas, ate sandwiches shaped into reindeer and decorated/ate reindeer cookies. It was a fun time and I know Sage loves her friends. We are pretty lucky.

Jingle Bell 5K
My friend Ashley and I ran in the Jingle Bell Run/Walk at the Gateway Mall. It was freezing! We didn't run the whole things and we didn't have the best time, but we had a whole lot of fun!
Harper Lee at 10 months!
- loves graham crackers and apples
- has 5 teeth- 3 on top and 2 on bottom
- can stand by herself for a little bit
- is a total daddy's girl- she squeals and crawls to Taylor so fast when he gets home
- can climb up stairs
- walks along furniture
- she wants to walk so badly
- screams and throws a little fit if something is taken away from her
- claps hands
- loves the bath. As soon as she hears the bath and shower water running she is right there! It is almost impossible to take a shower without her standing at the side of the tub, pulling the curtain open.
- can drink from a straw.
- sleeps from about 6 pm- 6:30 am through the night
- drinks 4-5 bottles of 6 oz a day (about every 3 hours)
- plays peek-a-boo behind the curtains
- is such a good baby
- loves her big sister
Visit from Alicia
Alicia is the last friend I thought I would have remained friends with. We had a love/hate relationship from elementary school-highschool. She once threw a can of soda at my head and I once brought a slurpee to her which I secretly put a worm in! She however, is the most loyal friend. She came out from California just to visit us. Well, and a certain boy too. I enjoyed some much needed Alicia time that included her favorite pass time- retail therapy! We also enjoyed getting pedicures, dinner and dessert. It was a fun time. She also loves our girls and our girls kind of adore her as well. Alicia has got style like nobody's business, is loud and proud, opinionated and confident. Grateful to call her our friend and loved the time we got to spend together.

Sage girl quotes
Sage at lunch eating her food.
Dad: Wait. We didn't pray.
Sage keeps eating.
Dad- Why are you eating?
Sage- because I'm hungry.
Sage loves to jump on the couch and her response to "Sage, we don't jump on the couch" is always, "I'm not jumping on the couch mom! I'm just doing my exercise!"
Tells Harper, "Sorry Harps, It's for old kids" about many things throughout the day.
We woke up the other day to Sage singing, "What does the fox say? ninininininininininini ninininin. What does the fox say?"
Whenever she sees the moon she says, " I see the moon and the moon sees me. God bless the moon and God bless me." The other day she then added, "I see the moon and the moon sees Harper. God bless the moon and God bless Harper."
She was sitting in the bathroom and calls me for help. When I got in there she said, "Mom, can you say holy moly? It's stinky in here!"

Happy Thanksgiving
We had a nice Thanksgiving. We all got together at Jodie & McKay's home and enjoyed a yummy feast. My mother-in-law also read a cute Thanksgiving book to the kids and also introduced the book The Sparkle Box, which she gave to each family. Each year for Christmas we take turns picking an organization/charity to donate money instead of buying each other gifts. This year the Selph family got to pick and they had all got all the supplies to make "blessing bags" for the homeless, that included hand warmers, water bottles, chapstick, gum, crackers, tissues, toothbrush/toothpaste... All the cousins assembled them into ziplock bags. We each got to take a few bags home to pass out over the next month. It is already Dec 4th and our Christmas festivities have begun!
Sage also enjoyed one of her last joy school classes. We have decided to postpone joy school until the first of the year and then to just get together once a month. We wanted to keep the group small but with it being so small one or two kids are sick or out of town and we are not left with any friends. It's just a lot of work for just a couple kids. I have tried to continue planning everything as I would and doing the activities with Sage throughout the week at our own leisure. She definitely missed "school class". She always looked forward to it.
